sounds like a winner. where is it?

i love DARPA. probably not a politically correct thing to say, but if the government is going to waste our money, someone might as well have fun with it. check out the MISER program from the Defense Sciences Office. it seems our military generates 7 pounds of waste per soldier per day. that's a lot for some of the countries our military visits. so according to the program statement, they have figured out how to convert waste into fuel (back to the future, anyone?) to be used in generators. it's taken more than ten years to switch to HDTV and darpa is turning trash into fuel. i have little hope for our conversion to fuel cells.
