    that's 250 DVD's on an area the size of a quarter. i wonder what kind of tech our kids will have at our age. the singularity is near. hopefully God comes back first. :)
    so if you are a music geek like i am, i watch the grammy's to see who won the award for best engineered record - non-classical. Mix Magazine has put together a site that has a great writeup about the production awards this year. these are the people who make the artists look like stars. behind every superstar, there is an amazing geek pulling the switches and levers. here's to the unseen and unsung hereos. someday maybe i can sneak into this list...

    more evidence for positive use of stem cells

    this article from the BBC is amazing to read. the patient had a collapsing trachea and they built her a new one from her own stem cells. Her body had no adverse reaction to the implant and they didn't even use anti-rejection drugs to suppress her immune system. we are living in amazing times. this kind of stuff blows me away.

    P.S. - read the BBC everyday. the brit news is so widely varied in the topics and locations they cover. stellar work.

    The stupid FCC

    So our non-elected council of five FCC commissioners just made the white spaces a nightmare for anyone using wireless. Big Business wins again. Go figure. Like we didn't all know that to begin with. Here's the article. Wish us luck and let's hope it won't cost us too much to change all of the crystals in our wireless systems.
